Logistic Manager
Matt Long
Logistic Manager
Matt Long is the Logistics/Property Manager for DEI. He works as a liaison with field employees to deliver equipment and supplies to the job site. He also manages the overall maintenance of the building, grounds, warehouse, and DEI vehicles.
Personal: Matt enjoys spending time with his wife , beautiful daughter and family. He also enjoys doing home improvement projects and working on trucks in his spare time.

Finance Officer
Julia Santos is the Finance Officer for DEI Systems. She manages accounting records and is responsible for the production of financial reports. Julia oversees all employees involved in the accounting process, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory and compliance. Her duties are extensive and also involve assisting in the preparation of budgets, managing records and receipts, reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions, preparing balance sheets, processing invoices, and developing an in-depth knowledge of organizational products and process.
Education/Training: Julia graduated from Middlesex Community College with an associates degree in Business. Her career started at Wang Labs working in the payroll department and over the years she has worked for a handful of companies doing office administration, payroll, human resources, accounts payable & receivable and financial reporting.
Personal: Julia enjoys gardening, playing golf, cooking & spending time with family & friends. She also enjoys traveling, especially to West Palm Beach, Florida where she has a second home.

Chris Sydell
Lead Integrated Systems Technician
Chris Sydell is a Lead Integrated Systems Technician for DEI. Chris is responsible for designing, installing, programming and managing video surveillance along with intercom and integrated systems.
Education/Training: Chris earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design at Champlain College.
Personal: I enjoy music, playing video games, and attending theme parks.

Education/Training: Michael graduated from Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2023 from the electrical program, He went on to work in the field as an apprentice electrician before transitioning into the office as an estimator.
Personal: Michael is a car enthusiast that also enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

DEI Systems culture: “One of my shop teachers told me I would be a good fit at DEI for Shawsheen’s CO-OP Program for Junior’s and Seniors, and I should go for an interview. With my teachers advice, I went and got the job. I have been working for DEI for a little over 2 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The employees in the field and office are some of the friendliest people I have met”.
Project Executive
Kyle Stewart is a Project Executive for DEI Systems. As a Project Executive, he is responsible for overseeing every aspect of multiple projects. Kyle resolves project issues and coordinates all manpower & supply chain items. Kyle is responsible for direct communication between general contractors, clients and is directly responsible for schedule and quality control. A true hybrid, Kyle’s hands are in so many aspects of DEI above and beyond his Project Executive duties. He manages DEI’s IT Team and Data Security, oversees logistics / property management, works with human resources, and is part of our marketing team.
Education: Kyle attended Middlesex Community College where he studied business. He holds Journeyman Electrical Licenses in both Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Kyle has also obtained multiple certifications in 2d/3d AutoCAD, Card Access Design, Card Access Programming, Video Surveillance Design, Video Surveillance Programming, and Fire Alarm Programming.
Personal: Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, whether its hanging around the house or taking the RV out camping. In his free time he is always looking for a project item to build or create covering anything from woodworking to robotics.

Ryan Martin
Assistant Project Manager
Ryan Martin joined DEI Systems in 2023 originally, starting as an electrical apprentice then moved to the role of assistant project manager. Ryan has displayed certain qualities that make him a great fit for the role such as proficient teamwork and leadership skills, excellent communication with business partners and creating and maintaining relationships with external vendors. As an assistant project manager, he works side by side with other project managers to finish jobs to completion.
Education: Shortly after graduating from Wilmington High School in 2020, he started his journey to become a licensed electrician. Ryan attends The Peterson School during the week to complete his apprenticeship program.

DEI Systems Culture: Since joining DEI Systems in 2023, I have been given a plethora of opportunities to grow and flourish within the company. Getting used to the environment was no challenge at all, everyone has been very welcoming and encouraging which has made it extremely easy to adjust to.

Brian Garrett
Sr. Controller
Brian Garrett is the Senior Controller at DEI Systems. Brian is responsible for overseeing financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash flow management. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining the system of internal accounting controls and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
Education: Brian graduated & obtained his master’s degree in accountancy from Westfield State University in 2011.

Vice President
Michael Simmons is the Vice President at DEI Systems. As Vice President, his responsibilities involve revenue generation, analyzing financial reports, attracting, retaining & motivating staff. He is also responsible for ensuring productive client relationships and partnerships for the benefit of DEI Systems. Michael also oversees large and special projects, as well as all Project Executives and Managers.
Education/Training: Mike attended Worcester State University before getting started in the electrical field in 1999. He has worked in all aspects of the trade including as an apprentice through a foreman in the field to estimating, project management and operations management in the office. Mike has held numerous licenses and certifications throughout his career including journeyman and masters licenses, OSHA 10, CEM and AutoCad certifications.
Personal: Mike enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping, fishing and golf. He also loves family time, and watching his daughter on the softball fields in the summer, as well as son in the hockey rinks in the winter. Mike is an avid Boston sports fan, especially following the Bruins and Patriots.

Billie is a business professional for DEI Systems. Billie is ready and willing to do whatever the company needs of her and especially in the marketing campaign.
Education/ Training: Billie is currently enrolled in the Auntie Dog Training Center in Tewksbury, MA. She was home schooled previously. House trained from 2022-23……mostly.
Personal: Billie enjoys following her owner around the house. Eating, Sleeping, Chewing things. Chasing Squirrels, playing with children and her best dog friend Axel. She hates the car so getting her to the office is a challenge.

DEI Systems Culture: “DEI Systems allows me to work on what I do best. Overall, I am pretty lazy, so it’s helpful that I only work for room and board. My span of attention is also pretty low, so the firm keeps things pretty light, which is perfect for me. From sniffing out new marketing strategies, fetching new ideas on how to strategically plan, to digging up new safety messages, I am always available to whatever is needed to ensure DEI Systems remains the top dog in the electrical industry.”

Kevin Delaney is the owner and original co-founder of DEI Systems. As President of DEI Systems, Kevin is responsible for overseeing the entire operation including, but not limited to, strategic and financial planning, marketing, preconstruction, business development, project engineering/design, and philanthropy.
Education: Kevin graduated & obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2002 from Fitchburg State University in the field of business administration with a specialization in marketing. He currently holds a Journeyman and Masters license in Massachusetts as well as Masters licenses in New Hampshire, Maine & Vermont. He also holds a Class S Security license in Massachusetts. Kevin is certified and trained in AutoCAD. Safety certifications include OSHA-10 and OSHA-30, and OSHA Confined Space standard 29 CFR 1910.146 certified.
Personal: Kevin enjoys traveling and spending time with his family at home and in Cape Cod. Also, coaching his daughters travel soccer teams, and is an avid multi sports fan.

Tom Delaney

Thomas Delaney is a Senior Project Manager for DEI Systems. As a Senior PM , he is responsible for planning day to day project operation, coordinating material, project finances, enforcing weekly project plans, and attending meetings and schedule coordination in representation of the company. Tom’s major strength is managing several moving parts simultaneously. Additionally, Tom manages DEI Systems HVAC Controls Division in all aspects including Estimating, and Project Management.
Tom is a 1997 graduate of UMass-Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is also OSHA-10 certified.
Personal: Tom is an avid golfer and also plays on multiple men’s ice hockey teams.

Sr. Estimator
Mike Fay is a Senior Estimator at DEI Systems. Mike is responsible for preparing detailed estimates based on cost, time, materials, labor and equipment as well as providing accurate bid proposals to our clients in a timely manner.
Education: Mike graduated & obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Westfield State College in 2010. He also completed a Certificate in Project Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2014. He currently holds a Journeyman license in Massachusetts.
Personal: Mike loves being a dad. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. He is an avid fan of the Boston Bruins.

David Garcia is a Senior Project Manager for DEI Systems. Education/Training: David Served 8 years in the Army National Guard where he was trained as a Military Police Officer and obtained an Associate’s degree in 1998 from Middlesex Community College in the field of Criminal Justice during his time in the military. He completed Electrical Journeyman Program in the evenings through Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School. David is trained in AutoCAD through Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Personal: David enjoys road tripping and spending time with his family up in the mountain and lakes regions of New England whether it’s hiking a 4000’+ mountain, snowboarding, or kayaking. He is also an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast.

Hanna Freitas is an Estimator at DEI. Her role is to estimate the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment that is required for an electrical construction project.
Education/Training: Hanna attended Electrical Training School in 2014 and The Peterson School in 2019.
